Matthias grew up queer in Germany in the ’80s and ’90s—a time when finding community wasn’t always easy, long before the internet made connection more accessible. It wasn’t until he moved to London over 20 years ago that he truly found a place where he could thrive. But as the city has changed and LGBTQ+ spaces have continued to disappear, events like One Fluid Night have become more vital than ever, providing a space for connection, celebration, and visibility.

 

Having known Lex for many years, back when One Fluid Night was just an idea, Matthias has watched the event grow into something truly special. Now, he is proud to join the team and help take it even further. With a professional background spanning hospitality, hotels & events, SaaS, and customer success, he is excited to build partnerships and sponsorships that will support the festival’s growth and ensure One Fluid Night continues to make an even bigger impact for the community.
