Mikheil Zibzibadze

Mikheil Zibzibadze (also known professionally as Mike Cerber) is a filmmaker, cinematographer and director with over twelve years of experience in cinematography, whose work focuses on atmosphere, emotion and strong visual control, often created under tight time and production constraints. His practice spans music video, documentary and narrative film, with an emphasis on transforming limited resources into clear and expressive cinematic results.

Among his largest and most significant projects are three independent works in which he served as director and cinematographer.

In March 2025, Mikheil directed and shot the music video Na Greenpoincie. The project, which had no traditional narrative structure, was completed within three days despite being originally planned for a longer production period. Under time pressure, he independently managed camera angles, lighting, and overall cinematic composition. The music video premiered in June 2025 in Brooklyn, New York.

Also in March 2025, he directed and shot the documentary project Beyond the Desks, which premiered in July 2025 at New York Institute of English and Business (NYIEB), where he is also a student. The project involved filming sixteen interviews in a single day. In addition to directing and cinematography, four original music tracks were created specifically for the film. Despite the intensive schedule, the final work successfully preserved the emotional individuality and authenticity of each participant.

Mikheil also directed the short mystery film Acceptance, a self-initiated independent project, which was shot in a guerrilla-style approach within fifteen minutes at the end of 2024. Through concept development and post-production, the film evolved from minimal material into a clear and understandable narrative, effectively communicating its intended message.

As a jury participant, Mikheil Zibzibadze (Mike Cerber) brings a grounded, creator-focused perspective, valuing clarity of intention, emotional impact, visual discipline and the ability to deliver strong results under real world production constraints.
