About the Story
Shoobs is a raucous coming-of-age story set at a banging South London house party in the early noughties. Lisa is taking advice on how to deal with her feelings for both Blazer and Jada but is it good advice? And who exactly is the older woman offering her wisdom? Shoobs is a poignant, comic take on the intersection between ethnicity, class and sexuality for black, British teenagers. It combines an original score, cheesy dance moves and a little time travel to earn laughter and tears.
