About the Story
Influenced by my personal journey of learning to understand my identity, Paper Skin aims to provide an insight to the ups and downs of coming out as trans. With a focus on the highs as the journey is not always as dark as the media paints it out to be. The film follows the 3 major arcs of trans identity; realization, coming out and transition. Looking into how family and friend dynamics shift and showing off that your identity shouldn’t take away from anything you do.
