About the Story
Josh finds himself struggling with his mental health. He's trapped in a broken healthcare system, desperate for help from an under-resourced Doctor, struggling with their own empathy fatigue.
Handle with Care is a darkly comic short film looking at the systematic failures affecting vulnerable people experiencing mental illness, and the consequences patients and Doctors face when the health service isn't given appropriate support or resources. The film highlights the devastating effect of systematic neglect by showing the sufferers' deteriorating pain on the outside, for all to see.
