About the Story
Dance of Urgency is a dance that emerges in times of personal and collective crisis — a movement that empowers individuals and communities, serving as both resistance and a coping mechanism. Filmed in December 2024 in Kyiv, Ukraine, at Club K-41, the short film brings together people who speak about the power and importance of dance during the ongoing full-scale Russian invasion. In the midst of fear and grief, dance becomes a way to deal with pain, to connect, and to find the strength to keep moving through these hard times.
